And if those get destroyed you'll have black smoke pouring out of the walls forever, they never de-spawn. If you have used a scrapping mod and regret the scrap, you can uninstall the mod (or disable it). This will revert the Settlements back to normal, but it will affect ALL settlements that you have altered. Then you can re-install / enable the mod again, and start from scratch.
